Our train is made up of six separate cars: engine, coal tender, lumber car, people car, box car, and caboose, and measures about 3 1/2 feet long. It comes with a pull rope for toddlers that can be removed as the child grows with the toy. The individual cars are 7 3/4 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide and are coupled together with sturdy wood pegs which easily fit into chamfered holes.
